Meet Paolo

Paolo Volpati-Kedra is the inspiration for the character of Paolo in Freedom Pancakes for Ukraine. He is a former CEO of an American food company with a deep passion for cooking, caring for others, and making people’s lives better through food. Immediately after Ukraine was invaded and millions of women and children were displaced, Paolo felt an uncontrollable call to go and help those in need in person.

World Central Kitchen has built a global reputation for feeding displaced people through numerous humanitarian efforts and it seemed to be the perfect organization for Paolo to join to fulfill his mission. His work with World Central Kitchen in Przemyśl, Poland became the most significant charitable contribution he has ever made. There, he prepared meals and personally served honest, loving, warm food to hundreds and hundreds of displaced families.
